New Search Data, Travel Trends to Aid Spring Campaign Planning

Where are travelers looking to spend Spring?Travel tech company Sojern is out with its most recent Global Travel Insights report, analyzing recent online search and booking data.The full report analyzes trends across North America, Latin America, Europe, Asia-Pacific, the Middle East and Africa, including which days of the week see the most search by region, top destinations searched by destination type, with a spotlight on April travel broken down by region.To aid hotel and resort teams in strategic planning of Spring marketing campaigns, here are some key takeaways most relevant to North American interests, with a focus on April travel.

Q4 2017 North America Search Trends

As it often does, search conducted via desktop dominated end-of-year travel planning. Some 74% of October/November/December searches were made via desktop, with just over one in four (26%) made from a mobile device.TOP 5 DESTINATIONS

  • 9% of parties included three or more travelers
